Veritus Raises $10.1M Seed Round for AI Lending Agents

Veritus, a startup building AI voice agents for consumer lenders, has raised $10.1 million in seed funding, as reported by FinTech Futures. The round was co-led by Crosslink Capital and Threshold Ventures, with participation from Pioneer Fund, Emergence Capital, Surge Point, Cedar Capital, and Rebel Fund.

CEO Joshua March is a serial founder whose previous companies include enterprise SaaS company Conversocial, which was acquired by Verint, and a16z-backed SCiFi Foods. He founded Veritus with David Schlesinger and Joey Stein, both former Divvy Homes engineers. The company went through Y Combinator's Summer 2025 batch.

Veritus offers an omni-channel platform for deploying AI agents for loan servicing and collections, including inbound and outbound voice agents. The agents negotiate repayment plans, follow up across channels, and drive recoveries without human involvement. The platform integrates with lenders' loan management systems to access customer data and run omnichannel operations, including an automated dialer and campaign scheduling.

The company is currently focused on two deployment areas: application-funnel outreach to convert pre-qualified borrowers and early-stage delinquency engagement.

"Right now we're deploying voice-first AI agents where lenders see quick impact—calling and texting in the application funnel to increase conversions, and early-stage delinquency outreach where we can take payments on the phone."

The platform includes an intelligent KYC module that adapts verification based on risk, and a dual-agent design for complex conversations such as hardship plans and payment settlements. "One AI agent speaking to the customer and then a separate AI agent behind the scenes, listening in on the conversation and making assessments that they feed into the primary agent," March explained.

On compliance, March said the platform was built with bank-grade security from the start, including real-time PII reduction and tokenization. The company is PCI compliant, HIPAA compliant, ISO certified, and SOC Type II compliant.

Veritus has been live with customers for five months, with active engagements across fintechs, a major servicer, and a UK bank. The company plans to use the funding to scale its go-to-market efforts and expand its team, which includes Tim Humphrey, former head of operations at Best Egg, and Stanley Lau, previously a VP at Goldman Sachs Marcus and Lending Club.
